Word of God

At Friendship Baptist Church, we stand firmly on the Word of God as our supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice. We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired, without error, and the perfect guide for salvation and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Oneness of God

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who work in perfect unity for the redemption of mankind (John 4:24, Hebrews 3:4).

Fall of Man

We affirm that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but through Jesus Christ, salvation is freely offered to all who repent and believe in Him. Christ, through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, has made full atonement for sin, securing justification and eternal life for those who place their faith in Him (Ephesians 2:5, Romans 5:9).

Salvation by Grace

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone and that believers are called to a life of continual transformation through the process of sanctification, empowered by the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8).

Baptism by Immersion

As a Gospel-centered church, we are committed to preaching, teaching, and living according to God’s truth. We observe baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Christ and partake in the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of His sacrifice (Acts 8:36-39, 1 Corinthians 11:23-28).

Christ's Second Coming

We believe in the perseverance of the saints, that true believers will remain faithful to Christ until the end, upheld by the power of God (John 8:31). We hold fast to the promise of Christ’s return, the final judgment, and the eternal reward for the righteous (1 Peter 4:7, 1 John 2:17).
