Ministerial Staff

Servants of the Word and Shepherds of the People

  • The Friendship Baptist Church’s ministerial staff plays a crucial role in upholding the mission and vision of the ministry. These dedicated individuals work alongside the Pastor to ensure that the church functions effectively as directed in the roles of assisting in worship services, teaching Sunday School, and Bible Study, and other duties as assigned.

  • Each member of the ministerial staff brings unique gifts and callings. As Ephesians 4:11-12 states, “And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”  We thank God for our ministerial staff at Friendship Baptist Church.

  • Rev. Delton Ashburn,  Sr., Assistant Pastor

Responsibilities of the ministerial staff often include:

  • Leading Bible studies, prayer meetings, and special services

  • Offering pastoral care and spiritual counseling

  • Supporting ministry events and outreach programs

  • Helping to guide the spiritual growth of the congregation

  • Collaborating with church leadership to plan and implement ministry goals

  • Together, the ministerial staff models servant leadership, strengthens the faith community, and ensures that the spiritual needs of the church are met with compassion, excellence, and integrity.
